Can you believe Prince William and Kate Middleton's famous wedding was already five years ago?

As royal fans all reminisce and celebrate the couple's anniversary today, we're here to shed some light on those who may have been overlooked on Wills and Kate's iconic nuptials. Look, don't feel bad, there was a lot going on that day.

Between the Duchess of Cambridge's dress, the gorgeous scenery, Pippa Middleton's maid of honor duties, Prince Harry looking all handsome all the time and the fact that we were watching history being made right in front of our eyes kind of hogged all of the attention.

But it's OK, because here we are, and we're about to give some much-deserved credit to the unsung heroes of the royal wedding (hey, better late than never right?).

The Frowning Flower Girl: Bless little Grace Van Cutsem's heart. The then-3-year-old became an Internet sensation when she was photographed looking less-than-pleased while the royal newlyweds shared their first kiss atop the Buckingham Palace balcony. Looking all pretty in her flower crown and dress, Grace had the most hilarious pout as she slapped her hands over her ears to block out the boisterous crowds.

The Runaway Horse: Not everyone was able to handle the royal hype. One horse decided to ditch its cavalry guardsman and make a run for it after the crowd's cheers spooked it out. At first, the guardsman managed to grab onto the reins and keep his steed to one side, as Kate and William passed by in their open-top 1902 State Landau.

The Cartwheeling Verger: To illustrate the vastly different emotions felt that day, one Westminster Abbey staff member couldn't help but showcase his excitement. Once the vows were exchanged and the congregation had departed, a verger was spotted doing cartwheels down the abbey's nave following the ceremony. "I think he was just reflecting the exuberance of the nation," a spokesperson said at the time.

The Ninja Nun: This sister was ready for whatever may be thrown her way. Annaliese Brogden was dubbed "the Ninja Nun" after being spotted sitting next to Prince William and Kate Middleton in a pair of black Reebok classics during the ceremony. Rumors even began circulating that then-52-year-old was a secret agent or even a highly trained bodyguard.

But her father, Geoffrey Brogden, shut down the speculation at the time by simply stating, "She wore the trainers for comfort and always has."
