​The Youth Entrepreneurship Service Centre of the Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE, a retail sale centre conducted by IBTE Business Campus, Gadong, offers the students the opportunity to explore and involve themselves in activities that can spur their learning capacity to greater heights. This is in line with IBTE's transformation to enable its students to gain skills, knowledge and other values for life-long learning as well as conducive training atmosphere. Since it began operation in August last year, the Centre has provided its students useful and valuable experience in running business.

IBTE Youth Entrepreneurship Service Centre was established for its Business Campus students to learn the actual business operation based on practical exercise. This centre is manned by students of HNTEC Business and Finance and HNTEC Office Administration themselves and is specifically for lectures on Entrepreneurship and Business Projects.

To ensure the smooth-running of their business project, the students are given posts by rotation as Manager and Secretary as well as those in charge of Marketing, Inventory and Accounts. To obtain added value, IBTE Business Campus Management holds discussions with a local company to allow its factory to be used for their food processing programme.

IBTE Business Campus students expressed their gratefulness for the establishment of the Centre. This is because the centre has given them the opportunity and space to manage and operate business themselves at the IBTE Entrepreneurship Service Centre besides receiving guidance from the teaching staff.
