Chief Minister Leads Delegation On Study Tour In Australia

KUCHING
Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived in Melbourne, Australia early yesterday morning, leading a delegation to the states of Victoria and Tasmania on a week-long study visit.
The delegates visited Siemens plants where they were briefed on digitalisation and the quest for Industry 4.0 by officials from Siemens and Swinburne University.
They also visited the State Control Centre of Emergency Management Victoria where services of relevant agencies are managed and brought together in response to emergencies.
Others in the mission were State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Morshidi Ghani, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Hussain, deputy state secretary Datu Sabariah Putit, acting state financial secretary Datu Laura Lee, and senior officers in state government departments and local universities.
They proceeded to the Telstra Innovation Lab to get an insight into the company’s growth, development and innovation programme.
