The Get-together with the people in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 71st Birthday celebration is an event that is much awaited by all levels of the citizens. Yesterday, over 500 people actively took part in the full rehearsal for special performances in conjunction with the ceremony in the Brunei Muara District which will take place this Sunday at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien, in the capital.

Present to watch the rehearsal was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affaairs, as Chairman of His Majesty's 71st Birthday celebration National Committee. Also present were Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs and Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry.

The field performances involve students from Government and Non-government Primary and Secondary Schools. Various government and private agencies are also participating.
