PR Fined, Imprisoned for Drug Related Offences

A permanent resident was ordered to pay a fine of BND$6,600, or serve jail for 12 months in default of payment, after he pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and meth as well as consuming both controlled drugs.
Lin Thian Sen was in possession of 2.9208 grammes of cannabis in the vicinity of Warisan Utamajaya Emporium and Supermarket in Sungai Tilong at 10.52pm on March 6, 2012.
The defendant kept a further 19.7305 grammes of cannabis in his car on the same occasion.
The defendant was also found to have consumed meth on March 6, 2012.
On May 7, 2013 the defendant was caught in possession of 0.3246 grammes of meth at a rented house in Kampong Mulaut at 1.04am.
The defendant was also found to have consumed meth on the same occasion.
Narcotics Control Bureau Prosecutor Norizan binti Haji Jaya conducted the prosecution.
Chief Magistrate Muhammed Faisal bin Pehin Dato Kefli presided over the case.
