The Brunei National Veteran Basketball Team on Monday received a moral boost to compete in the annual Macau International Chinese Basketball Invitation Tournament, taking place on May 14 to 15, after Fitness Zone presented jerseys to the team.

Fitness Zone Managing Director Wu Chun presented the jerseys to team captain, Khoo Eng Cheong, who expressed his gratitude and vowed to do their best in the tournament.

In 2014, the Brunei veteran team secured fourth place in the same tournament.

Following the presentation, the national veteran basketball team hosted a friendly match with a media team as preparation for the competition.

Hosted by the Macau Basketball Friendship Association of Fifty and co-hosted by Macau - China Basketball Association,' the Macau International Chinese Basketball Invitation Tournament aims to promote Macau sport tourism and to associate Chinese communities around the world through basketball games where they can demonstrate their skills, and share experiences with other basketball lovers.

The event is sponsored by Macau Sport Development Board. All matches will be played at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion.

Teams from China as well as the region are expected to take part in the annual event.
