In Temburong District, the hari raya festive is celebrated with the siblings, children and distant relatives getting together. Hence, the opportunities to get together are also used in visiting of the cemetery to read tahlil and Surah Yasin recital for those who have departed and to clean the cemetery.

The practice usually takes place after performing Sunat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Prayer. This is also the sunnah or an act practised by Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihiwasalam. However, several commendable acts can also be carried out, such as in the dress code and manners while at the cemetery. In addition, Muslims are encouraged to apply courtesy to the occupants of the grave by greeting and praying for the blessing and forgiveness of Allah the Al-Mighty.
