As Ramadhan is coming to an end, Khatam Al-Quran ceremonies continue to be held to mark the conclusion of Tadarus Al-Quran readings. The Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Mosque Affairs Department with the cooperation of the Jame 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Takmir Committee last night held a Tadarus Al-Quran closing ceremony for mosques, surau and religious halls throughout the country. The function took place at the Jame 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong.

The ceremony commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The reading of Takhtim was carried out by the mosque's officers and takmir committee as well as the Mosque Affairs Officers. Also present were Dato Paduka Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yussof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid and Awang Roslan bin Haji Tajaah, Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
