TUTONG

The National Road Safety Council THIS MORNING continued its 'Kempen Beringat-Ingat Keselamatan Jalan Raya 2017' or Be Alert Road Safety Campaign in the Tutong district.

The campaign was led by Awang Haji Adnan bin Haji Adam, Assistant Tutong District Officer and Awang Haji Azmi bin Haji Abdul Rahim, Chairman of the Tutong Municipal Board. This year's campaign includes the distribution of hari raya cards and souvenirs as well as guideline leaflets to road users. Among those taking part in the campaign were Pengiran Haji Abdul Salam bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Ghani, Commanding Officer of the Tutong District Police and Awang Hamdan bin Haji Narudin, Senior Licensing Officer who is also the Secretary of the Tutong District's National Road Safety Council.

The road safety campaign is held every year to remind the public specifically road users and increase their awareness on the need to always obey road traffic acts and regulations. Apart from that, road users are also advised to practise courteous and prudent driving, to always wear safety belts and not use mobile phones while driving.
