Those who read and assimilate Al-Qu'ran will gain many benefits, apart from making it as a daily practice in life. This matter was highlighted in a tazkirah or short lecture during a Nuzul Al-Quran Ceremony organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its departments this afternoon
Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The talk was delivered by Awang Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Senior Religious Officer of Islamic Da'wah Centre. He said, by reading one verse of Al-Qu'ran per day, one will gain reward from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. Prior to the talk, officers and staff of the ministry performed mass zohor prayer.
The ceremony was coincided with a Khatam Al-Quran. It began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport. Also present were Datin Paduka Doktor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil and Awang Haji Noor Jusmin bin Haji Abd Samad, the Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport.
