The Ministry of Health this afternoon visited the home of the underprivileged patients to present donations, basic necessities and medical equipment to the patients as well as families who have been identified and registered at Medical Welfare Section. The visit is an annual welfare activity organised by the Ministry of Health through Medical Welfare Section to present donations collected from Patient Charity Assistance Fund of Medical Welfare Section came from officers and staffs of the Ministry of Health, associations, private sectors and individuals.

The delegation group was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, the Minister of Health. 3 patients and families registered under the Medical Welfare Section have been identified for the purpose of the visit. Also preset was Yang Berhormat Awang Naim bin Haji Kamis, Member of Legislative Council as the Penghulu Mukim Kota Batu.

Yang Berhormat the Minister of Health also visited patients' houses at Kampong Sinarubai and Jalan Sinarubai in order to see their situation. The Medical Welfare Section is among other section that plays an important role to help underprivileged patients in terms of their socio-economy. Also present was Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohimin bin Johari @ Jahari, Member of Legislative Council. The same visit also held at the Tutong District led by Doctor Hajah Maslina binti Haji Mohsin, the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health and in the Belait District was led by Doctor Awang Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Deputy Permanent Secretary Policy at the Ministry of Health.
