The reading of Al-Qu'ran continue to be held solely to reap a multitude of rewards as well as glorify the month of Ramadan, which is now in its final 10 nights. A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was held late this afternoon at the Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong.

Present was Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arshad, member of the Legislative Council who also led the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah. It was followed by the reading of Al-Quranic verses, doa takhtim and doa arwah. At the function, 29 orphans received donation. The donations are hoped to help ease their burdens and bring them joy, especially in preparing for the upcoming month of Syawal.
