The Women's division of the Brunei Malay Teachers Association, PGGMB together with other associations in the country also held a Tadarus ceremony.

The ceremony began with a presentation of donation which was handed over by Pengiran Hajah Rakiah binti Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Director of PGGMB's Women's Division to Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam binti Pengiran Haji Matarsat, the first Vice-President of the Women's Council. The ceremony continued with the mass reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam. Such ceremony aimed to enhance the capability of reading of Al-Quran among the association's members with 'tajwid'. Aside from that, it is also aimed to foster closer relations and raise a harmonious atmosphere, the spirit of cooperation and unity in carrying out welfare and beneficial activities.
