A total of 128 officers and staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and departments under it received Pingat Kerja Lama or Long Service Medal in conjunction with His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 70th birthday celebration. The medal presentation ceremony was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs this morning.

The Long Service Medal presentation was handed over by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs. Yang Berhormat Pehin also presented the retirement certificates to 89 officers and staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs who completed their services with the Government of His Majesty from October 1st, 2015 until September 30th, 2016.

Also present were Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid and Awang Roslan bin Haji Tajaah, the Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the ministry.
