Presentation of Automotive Engineering Programme Guide

To keep pace with workforce demands, it is crucial for an institution such as Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE to be abreast with the skills and education needed by the workforce to not only fill anticipated jobs, but to adequately prepare them to compete in our technologically progressive world and thus make a significant impact in producing a highly skilled labour force. This is where collaboration with industry is critical and one aspect of this collaboration lies in the curriculum development. This morning, the handover of HNTec in Automotive Engineering Programme Guide was held between Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE and the Training Institute of The Royal Brunei Armed Forces at the School of Aviation, IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus at Jalan Utama Berakas.
The Programme guide was handed over by Mr Walter Chong Meng Siong, Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IBTE on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of IBTE to Colonel Awang Khairul Hameed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Commandant of the Training Institute of RBAF. The handing over ceremony was witnessed by Yang DiMuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Also present was Doctor Chin Wei Keh, the Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education. The two-year programme will be conducted at the School of Energy and Engineering Central, IBTE Mechanical Campus in Tungku and The Royal Brunei Armed Forces Training Institute.
