Dollar trades in upper 108 yen range in early deals in Tokyo

TOKYO
The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 108 yen range in early deals in Tokyo Thursday, after hitting a five-month low in New York overnight after U.S. President Donald Trump warned against the strength of the dollar.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.90-91 yen compared with 109.05-15 yen in New York and 109.66-68 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0670-0670 dollars and 116.19-20 yen against 1.0660-0670 dollars and 116.17-27 yen in New York and 1.0619-0621 dollars and 116.45-49 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
