The Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque Congregant Charity Project is meant to spur the congregants to be more voluntary in doing mosque cleaning work. The project was launched yesterday at the Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampong Sungai Kebun. The launch was officiated by Awang Haji Abd Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, the Director of Mosque Affairs.
The project is a year-long campaign that involves cleaning selected mosques in the Brunei Muara District. The charity campaign will continue at eight mosques, focusing first at the Pehin Datu Imam Haji Abd Mokti Mosque in Kampong Burung Pingai Ayer. It is hoped the project would strengthen cooperation and relations among Mosque Takmir Committee members, the congregants and Muslimah group.
