Bandar Seri Begawan

A Malaysian man has been brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for an offence under the Immigration Act. 47-year-old Then Lian Nyong, was sentenced to 7 month imprisonment and 3 strokes of the cane for overstaying in the country after his work pass had expired for 2,054 days.

Lian Nyong was detained yesterday during an operation at a rented house in Ban 2A, Kampong Mulaut Kilanas.
