In moving forwards, the development of digital economy in Brunei Darussalam is vital to enable local businesses to continue to expand and facilitate penetration into the international market. The country needs to build an eco-system that will facilitate the use of information technology, not only in e-commerce but also from various aspects that can strengthen local services and products.

According to Yang Berhormat, the government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is committed to reduce 63 percent of the major supply by 2035. The dissemination of the energy-saving efficiency initiative in government buildings and others, the role and leadership of youth groups and non-government organisations such as the Beach Bunch and Earth Hour is encouraging and vital in this matter.
