Around 200 personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and the Ministry of Defence (MinDef) took part in a cross-country race yesterday, at the Berakas Garrison.

The guest of honour at the event was Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The race was contested in group and open-event categories, in which participants were required to run along a course covering a distance of 10km, including the surrounding beach and hill areas.

The first place winner in the group category was the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF).

Second place went to the Ministry of Defence, and in third place was the Special Regiment.
