His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this afternoon received in audience His Excellency Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, who is currently in Brunei Darussalam on an official visit.

During the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic discussed bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, as well as exchanged views on regional and international matters.

Accompanying His Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic was His Excellency Amphay Kindavong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Brunei Darussalam.

Also present during the Audience Ceremony was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The Audience Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.

In another part of the Istana Nurul Iman, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam received in audience Madame Alouny Kommasith, the spouse of His Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

Accompanying Madame Alouny Kommasith was spouse of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Brunei Darussalam, Mrs. Phimpa Kindavong.

Also in attendance was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Tan Bee Yong, the spouse of Yang Berhormat Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
