SVSB Students Visited Brunei Methanol Company

SUNGAI LIANG, LUMUT

 

A group of 26 students and five instructors of HNTec Mechanical Engineering from Sultan Bolkiah Vocational. School (SVSB) yesterday made an educational visit to the Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC).

 

The purpose of the visit was to gain better understanding and in-depth knowledge in enhancing their skills for their module of Process Plant and Mechanical Process. This site visit was beneficial for the students as it exposed them to real work environment, according to a press release.

 

Upon arrival and prior to entering the plant, a safety briefing was presented to the students and instructors by BMC Safety Inspector, Mohd Amirrul bin Ismail.

 

The group of students was then led by BMC Instrument Supervisor, Muhammad Firdaus bin Johari, BMC Senior Mechanical Technician, Awangku Haji Md Adziim bin Pengiran Haji Hamzah and BMC Safety Officer, Abdul Wafiy bin Abdullah Komiti.

 

The students and instructors had the opportunity to have a question and answer interaction during the walkabout session.
