Towards enhancing the growth of the primary resources and tourism sectors in Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism is promoting sustainable and modern farming to increase production and minimize the conversion of forest lands into other uses.
Likewise, increasing fisheries production through sustainable aquaculture is being put forward to help reverse the depletion of wild fish stock and minimize the destruction of the coral reefs. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism stated the matter at the 'Young South East Asian Leaders Initiatives (YSEALI) Generation GR3EN Eco-Entrepreneurship Workshop Cultural Night Dinner'.
Around 50 delegates from all 10 YSEALI member countries together with speakers and mentors in the various fields of eco-entrepreneurship attended the event. Also present was Awang Wardi bin Haji Mohamad Ali, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
