His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang DiPertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has sent his messages of congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait and His Highness Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait as well as the Government and people of the State of Kuwait on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day.

In the message to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Majesty expressed his great pleasure in welcoming His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during His Highness' state visit to Brunei Darussalam last October. His Majesty further expressed his confidence that the agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed during His Highness' state visit will further enhance the cooperation between the two countries.

In a similar- congratulatory message to His Highness Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Majesty expressed his great appreciation for the close relations and valuable cooperation that the two governments and people have enjoyed, and looked forward to further strengthening these long-standing ties in the years ahead.

In ending the messages, His Majesty prayed to Allah the Almighty for the continued good health and happiness of His Highness Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad AI Jaber Al-Sabah and all members of the royal family; His Highness Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; and for the State of Kuwait as well as its people with continued peace and prosperity.
