(KPL) Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith has urged Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) to review road construction projects in Vientiane Capital as several roads are currently under construction.

The construction is making transportation difficult and is also causing traffic jams, Prime Minister Thongloun told the annual 2016 nationwide meeting of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation on February 22 in Vientiane Capital.

“The Ministry of Public Works and Transport must determine exactly which construction company is responsible for each project to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner,” PM Thongloun said.

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport must deliberate on problems on parking areas, causes for traffic jams, areas reserved for public buses, road accidents, and the construction of an expressway between Vientiane Capital and Pakse, Champassak Province.
