Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) held a flag raising ceremony yesterday at the university's car park in conjunction with the 33rd National Day celebration of Brunei Darussalam.

Present as the guest of honour was the Acting Rector, Dr Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the handing over of the national flag by the guest of honour to an army cadet personnel of UNISSA. The raising of the flag was accompanied by the singing of the national anthem.

A Doa Selamat was read by Mohammad Rif'at Atiyah bin Anwari from the Students' Representative Council (MPP) of UNISSA.
