BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Twenty-six participants recently completed the second session of the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies' (CSPS) Executive Development Workshop Series in Strategic Foresight and Strategic Planning.

According to a press release, the three-day workshop saw CSPS Associate Researcher Yuzilawati binti Abdullah facilitating the application of the participants' environmental scanning of their respective organisations to see the impact on their strategic plans and CSPS Chief Researcher Dr Diana Cheong in a live session with participants carrying out a SWOT analysis via the Systems Thinking Current State Assessment approach to identify possible causes of gaps required to achieve economic diversification objectives.

During the workshop, Strategic Management Consultant Stephen Lin also illustrated examples distinguishing between traditional approaches, such as the Balanced Scorecard with the Haines Systems Thinking approach. Meanwhile, CSPS Researcher Dr Sophiana Chua binti Abdullah assisted to formulate and refine participants' visions, missions and core values of their organisations and illustrated how these could be aligned with key success measures and core strategies.

Certificates were presented by Executive Director of CSPS, Haji Mohd Rozan bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos.
