BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

The Ministry of Education (MoE), with the initiative of and collaboration with DST Communications Sdn Bhd (DST) and Mach Telecommunications Systems Sdn Bhd (MachTel), will be offering the Short Messaging Service (SMS) for the upcoming results of the BC GCE 'AS' and 'A' Level October/November 2016 examinations.

Students and parents who wish to subscribe to this service are required to register online through the ministry's webportal at www.moe.gov.bn or the e-Darussalam portal at www.govbn, said a press release.

Subscribers will also be able to register through mobile phones via SMS and will need to input the following text - MOE <space> REG <space>[ CENTRE CODE] <space> [CANDIDATE NUMBER] <space> [CANDIDATE IC NO] - and send to 8885555 for DST subscribers only.

No charges will be applied for registration through the webportal or mobile phones. Subscriptions to this service will start from Thursday, January 19.

Examination results will only be sent to subscribers via SMS upon approval from the MoE's Department of Examinations to release these results. They will be charged $3 for each SMS result received.

With this service, the MoE hopes that it will benefit members of the public, especially parents, and the ministry's stakeholders in general.

For more information or any further enquiries on how to register, e-mail to [email protected] or visit the website http://www.machbrunei.com/ moe/welcome.php.
