The Brunei Open Fencing Championship 2017 continued yesterday, where the national team added another bronze medal. The championship takes place at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

In the men's individual epee category, Brunei Darussalam earned a bronze medal through Muinuddin Masri. Francisco Borja from the Philippines won the gold medal while Aung Wine Thet from Myanmar earned a bronze medal. Meanwhile in the women's individual sabre category, Mylene Pailma from the Philippines won the gold medal while Precious Sapungan and Cherie Manangi each received the bronze medal.
