BMA Hold Second Bowling Meet

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

 

The Brunei Medical Association (BMA) recently organised a bowling tournament which was open to all doctors and medical students at Utama Bowling in the capital.

 


The tournament which was BMAs second bowling tournament since 2012 aimed to strengthen relations amongst members of the medical profession.

 


Dr Pengiran Md Bahrin bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin, President of BMA, presented the prizes to the top three teams. 10 teams participated in the tournament.

 

 

Ira Headhunters, representing the dentists, emerged as the champions. In second place was Queenpins representing the BMA Executive Council, and Pinbusters in third place comprising of doctors from occupational health, primary care and cardiology.

 

 

The highest individual score titles were awarded to Dr Md Sharimie bin Haji Sahari (men's category) and Dr Hajah Fazean Irdayati binti Haji Idris (women's category).

 

 

Other teams that took part came from various backgrounds including surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine, pathology, military medicine and UBD medical students.

 


The association hopes that more members will be able to join future activities to achieve its objectives.
