The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Yang Berhormat  Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof received a visit by delegation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Jiangsu Province, the People's Republic of China led by its chairlady Zhang Lianzhen at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) building, Berakas, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The eight-person delegation's visit was in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China towards strengthening the exchange and cooperation in terms of culture, education and tourism between Jiangsu Province and Brunei Darussalam.

Among the objectives of the visit were to exchange views on heritage and culture preservation, and cooperation in youth affairs.

The visit took place at the minister's office. Also present were the People's Republic of China Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Yang Jian; Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MCYS Haji Amiruddin bin Haji Mohd Hassan, and senior officers at the ministry.
