Muslims from around the world will be celebrating the Mauld Nabi every 12 Rabiulawal. Brunei Darussalam is not excluded as all four districts will be involved to commemorate the glorious occasion of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on a national level.

A briefing was held during at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA).

Acting Permanent Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs, Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid in his speech said the ministry had received a participation of more than 100 teams and rally the celebration.

An estimated of more than 12 thousand participants with be gathering at the main event point at  the  Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital as well as other main points in other districts .

Awang Haji Harun urged participants to congregate early before the arrival of His Majesty and gather at their respective meeting points to ensure the event runs smoothly. He also added that to ensure smooth flow of event, roadwork and maintenance repairs should be made before the event.

He stressed that the participants are already in the garden and fill their places provided before the On a separate speech, Lt. Ismadi Haji bin Haji Friday, representatives of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) also stressed that for health and safety reasons, all the participants to refrain perambulating around the Mariam area and keep themselves cool under the shades to avoid heat exhaustion.

Meanwhile, the Royal Brunei Police Force will begin road control starting from 6.30am.

DSP Mohd. Fathdillah bin Haji Mohammad went on to explain that passenger drop off will be the park opposite building of the Royal Regalia  and will be instructed to walk down Jalan Basir.

Paramedics from the Medical Department, Awang Haji Md. Zul Azmi bin Abd. Manan explains Ambulance services and medical teams walk will be available during event. He added that the Medical Camp will be located opposite the Bank BIBD and ambulances are also available at nine different locations along the parade.

On the subject of parade competition, the Director of Mosque Affairs, Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd. Salleh, who is also the Chairman of the Joint Competition Judge Prophet's birthday parade said entries are still open for teams interested to participate in the parade competition.

He said that there are four categories, namely the category of School / Arab / IPT / College / Private / Ministries and Government Departments / Association and Kampung Masjid.
