To enliven the nights leading up to the Maulud Nabi celebrations of 1438H/2016, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and departments under it last night began its series of Dikir ceremony at the Pengiran Muda Abdul Mateen Mosque in Kampong Mulaut.

Attending as the guest of honour was Yamg Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Also in attendance were Dato Paduka Dr Haji Affendy bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Permanent Secretary at the MCYS; as well as senior officers and staff of MCYS.

The ceremony began with a mass Maghrib prayer followed by the recitation of Surah AlFatihah and Dikir Syarafil Anam.

The ministry will hold the annual series of Dikir ceremony at other mosques throughout the 12 nights leading to the Maulud Nabi celebration on 12th of Rabiulawal 1438H corresponding to December 12, 2016.
