19 Coaches Complete AFC 'C' Coaching Course

A total of 19 coaches including a Nigerian and six Indonesians completed the AFC 'C' Certificate coaching course organised by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD).
The course was conducted by Stephen Ng, senior staff coach of. NFABD who is a certified AFC instructor.
Topics that were touched on were Coaching Profession, Foundation of team building, Laws of the Game, Attacking play, Principle of Play, Basic Technique of ball control, coaching methods and processes.
Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Ibrahim, NFABD competitions director, presented the certificates.
"NFABD has prepared numerous training programmes to increase the quality of coaching.
"We hope the participants will make full use of the knowledge acquired," he said.
A number of Brunei DPMM FC players were among the participants, including Wardun Yussof, who is also the national team goalkeeper.
"I wanted to learn more about the basics of coaching at grassroots level," he said.Wardun said he felt that a career in coaching was his best option once he retires.
"I have to plan because in a few years, I want to be able to continue to contribute to the local football scene."
However, ne reiterated tnat ne won't De hanging up his boots anytime soon.
"Playing with the national squad is different from playing on club level. As long as the national team needs my service, I will continue to give my best."
He also said youngsters should step up to fill in the boots of Rosmin Ramis, who announced his international retirement recently.
"It is time to look for potential players who can lead in the midfield," he added.
