Vice President Receives Asian Peace Officials

Vice President Phankham Viphavanh on Nov 29 received a courtesy call from Chairman of the Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council (APRC) Surakiart Sathirathai and his delegation on the occasion of their participation in the 4th APRC meeting held in Vientiane on Nov 29-30.

 

At the amicable talks, the Vice President expressed a warm welcome to the visiting guest and his delegation and highly valued their working visit to the Lao PDR.

 

He said that the visit constituted a significant contribution to enhancing the solidarity and expanding cooperation in the region and international communities in an active manner and on a win-win basis.

 

The host also said that the visit helped create favourable conditions for integration and connectivity, and the promotion of economic growth, industrialization and modernization in the region.

 

​In reply, Mr Surakiart Sathirathai, representing the delegation, expressed gratitude to the Vice President for his warm welcome and informed the host of the results of their working visit to the Lao PDR.
