Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia appreciate the long-standing friendship and close cooperation enjoyed by both countries, especially in trade, education, defence, sports, and other. This was shared during a courtesy call to the Speaker of the Legislative Council by His Excellency Dato' Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, outgoing High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam.

During the courtesy call, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib congratulated His Excellency on his excellent performance throughout his service in the country.

Throughout his tenure, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam has held many high-level visits and numerous efforts to continue to establish relations between the two countries. His Excellency also thanked the country for all the help that has been given throughout his term in realising all commitments and efforts, in advancing and strengthening relations between the two countries. Both sides hope that the two countries will continue to maintain good relations and be able to develop further cooperation.
