Efforts to help local entrepreneurs succeed and the potential of rural areas to contribute towards economic growth were some of the issues highlighted by District Representatives.
Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan said there should be a study on factors that drive the success of local young entrepreneurs in Small and Medium Industries in the country.
Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya'akub said the relevant parties should also focus on progress in rural areas which have potential to contribute to national economic growth.
Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir proposed instilling the method of joining people on the ground as a mechanism to gain accurate inputs, especially on matters of the people's well-being.
Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann viewed that ongoing efforts to promote local entrepreneurs should be increased by organising national, regional and international level events.
Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Mohamed stated that expansion of other sectors such as agriculture, food, finance, transportation, tourism, refining of downstream oil and gas is a smart strategy to ensure our economic stability and sustainability.
Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman said providing a conducive digital business eco-system is necessary to accommodate consumer needs as outlined in the Digital Economy Master Plan 2025.
Yang Berhormat Awang Amran bin Haji Maidin highlighted on improving the economy through local entrepreneurs and specific groups as well as creating job opportunities.
Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad Ali bin Tanjong said One Village One Product (1K1P) can improve a village's socio-economy in the long term. The programme not only replaces the import economy, but can also be sent to the export market and help improve the country's economy.
Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan said the project requires villagers to help plan projects especially in implementation of projects for their neglected lands.
Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat highlighted there should be more efforts to shoulder the trust by cooperating with relevant stakeholders from both the government and private sectors.
