TEMBURONG

Business premises at Mukim Amo and Mukim Bukok, Temburong District were in compliance with the Price Control Act, Chapter 142 and the Weights and Measures Act 1983, Chapter 151. The findings were the result of a monthly joint inspection by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, DEPS through the Department of Consumer Affairs with the Weights and Measures Unit, SDT, Industry and Business Ecosystem Division, recently.

The inspection is part of the effort to increase the awareness of business premises on the need to comply with the act towards promoting an ethical business environment. During the inspection, nine units of weighing and measuring machines used for business purposes were also found to be valid, accurate and registered with the SDT Unit.

Businesses are reminded to comply with the Price Control Act, Chapter 142 and the Weights and Measures Act 1983, Chapter 151 in the effort to help the country build a sustainable business environment with ethical business conducts.
