​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah stresses that repentance is not merely seen as seeking forgiveness, regretting the sins and committed not to repeat it again, it also has many benefits that are difficult for the mind to comprehend. In His Majesty's view, the religious Standard Operating Procedure, SOP that is practised continuously in Brunei Darussalam in facing and trials and tribulation is based on repentance, as munajat itself is a medium and road to repentance. His Majesty made the titah in conjunction with the Knowledge Convention 2023, 23rd November morning. His Majesty began the titah by expressing gratitude towards Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala for his blessings that enables this year's Knowledge Convention to be held as it was before the COVID-19 pandemic.​

His Majesty in the titah says that as human beings, every individual is not exempted from wrongdoings and sins, thus it is necessary to always repent.

In the titah, His Majesty also underlines the benefits of repentance as stated in al-Qur'an.

​His Majesty in the titah calls for the Muslim Ummah to endear themselves to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.​
