​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam received in audience His Excellency Tun Seri Setia Doctor Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, Yang Di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca, and wife, Yang Amat Berbahagia Toh Puan Datuk Wira Doctor Hajah Asmah binti Haji Abdul Rahman, who are in the country for a three-day visit. The Audience Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman. Also present were Members of the Royal Family.

Following the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri proceeded together with His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca and spouse for a Luncheon. The Luncheon began with the reading of Doa Selamat by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti.
