BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

 

​An Indonesian man pleaded guilty to two charges under the Excise Order 2006 for possessing contraband.

 

29-year-old Saiful Vrisanto was found to be possessing 20 packs of cigarettes of various brands and a vape unit. The contraband were found during a raid at two houses in Kampung Mumong and Jalan Kerma Negara, Kuala Belait. The Kuala Belait Magistrates Court imposed a total fine of $10,000 or 10 months imprisonment in default, and all contraband were seized to be destroyed.
