An incident that went viral on WhatsApp involving a car crashing into a workshop counter last week has landed in court yesterday as a case of mischief.
The twenty-five-year-old defendant, Zulhilmi bin Mat Jeneh, is alleged to have committed mischief by driving a car into the display counter of Yeo Motor Workshop in Tutong at 2.55pm on April 7 leading to damage.
Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid did not take the defendant's plea as Deputy Public Prosecutor Vuina Song informed the magistrate that the prosecution has reasons to doubt the defendant's mental health status.
Magistrate Dewi fixed the case for April 18 whilst ordering the defendant to be remanded at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital to undergo a psychological evaluation.
