His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will hold a State Visit to Malaysia on the 3rd of August 2023.

 

 The State Visit of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia is at the invitation of His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah. During the State Visit, His Majesty among other things, is expected to meet with His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia; and Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia for the 24th Annual Leaders' Consultation between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia. Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia established diplomatic relations in January 1984, enjoying warm and close cooperation in various areas of mutual interest including trade and investment, defence, education, tourism and connectivity as well as health. The previous Annual Leaders' Consultation between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia was held on the 5th of April 2021 in Bandar Seri Begawan.
