His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended a Get-Together Ceremony with the Citizens and residents as well as students of Brunei Darussalam who are currently in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The ceremony was held at Intercontinental Amman Hotel, Jordan. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by His Excellency Haji Mahadi bin Haji Maidin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; Muhammad Hisyamuddin bin Haji Mahadini, as well as Muhammad Khairul Azmi bin Haji Hassan, the President and Vice President of the Brunei Students' Union in Jordan.

Doa Selamat was recited by Awang Amirul Amin bin Abdullah from University of Jordan.

The President of the Brunei Students' Union, BSU, in Jordan in his welcoming remarks, expressed gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty and the Government for the opportunities provided for them to pursue their studies abroad, especially in Jordan, including privileges such as the provision of allowances for accommodation, transportation, healthcare and other related expenses.

His Majesty then proceeded to meet and greet the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam including Government officials and students who are pursuing their studies at leading universities in Jordan in the fields of Islamic Studies, Fiqh, Syariah, Usuluddin and Islamic Finance. The ceremony, among other things, provided the golden opportunity for them to meet and greet as well as to convey the progress of their respective studies to His Majesty.
