A disabled woman has taken to Reddit to share how a shopper slammed her for 'lying' about her disability so she could bring her service dog inside the store - but she got her own back after the shopper made a scene

A woman got the last laugh on a 'crazed shopper' who cruelly claimed she was 'too young to be disabled' and was 'faking it' for attention. The young woman explained how she was shopping with her service dog when another customer started making a scene.

Outraged over the dog being in the store, the shopper started accusing her of "faking" her disability so she could bring the 115lb cane corso inside. Taking to Reddit, the young woman said: "I have an invisible disability and a service dog. She's a cardiac alert dog. I bring her everywhere, and it has been such a big quality of life difference for me.

"Yesterday, I was in Bulk Foods buying some supplies and brought my dog with me. While I was buying candy, a girl nearby started crying. The mother walked over and started demanding that I leave the store immediately.

"I tried telling her that my dog was working and was not a pet. She wasn't having it and didn't believe me because I was too young to have a medical condition."

The mum went on to explain how her daughter has autism and was "terrified" - so she should leave the store regardless of her disability.

"I refused and continued shopping. I simply went to another area of the store to get the rest of the stuff on my shopping list," she added.

"The woman had to bring her child and leave the store because she was too scared. The entire time, she kept saying I should be ashamed of myself for scaring a child and refusing to leave."

But much to her dismay, the young woman bumped into the mother-daughter duo in Walmart just weeks later, where she again ordered her to leave the store as her dog was upsetting her daughter.

She said: "I made the mistake of ignoring my dog when she was alerting to my heart rate.

"I ended up really dizzy and out of breath and had to sit down in the corner of the store while she was doing deep pressure therapy.

"I must have been on the floor for about 10 minutes. During that time, a staff member at Walmart came over to check on me and ask if I was alright."

While laid out on the floor, the child clocked her and started "screaming and crying" in fear.

"This woman did not leave the store with her child that was having a meltdown. Instead, she had the audacity to call 911 on me," she added.

"Eventually the cops did show up and she kept shouting that I was faking having a disability because I was too young to actually be disabled again and it was illegal for me to have my service dog anywhere near food indoors."

Wanting to clear her name, the young woman showed the police her medical records and documents stating the cane corso is a fully-trained assistance animal.

"It was absurd of her to demand that I leave the store last time because my dog triggered her daughter's meltdown, especially so this time," she added.

"This woman did not learn her lesson. The manager banned the woman from coming to the local Walmart for a year.

"The cops only gave her a warning for wasting their time and escorted her off the property."

Commenting on her post, one user said: "Crying is not an emergency."

Another user added: "That must have been so frustrating! I have had the pleasure of knowing a few cane corsos through rescue work and good God are they amazing animals!"

A third user said: "You are too young to be disabled screams the woman who has a disabled child... Insanity."
