Royal Brunei Airlines, RB has been promoting the country's unique culture and attractions to the world for nearly five decades. The increase in Royal Skies membership from over six thousand to over 200 thousand members is evidence of the benefits of the programme to its customers. It is one of RB's achievements for the continuous support from customers and friends. To mark the achievement, RB held its 48th anniversary celebration and the 20th anniversary of the Royal Skies programme.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development as Chairman of RB. Also present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, as Deputy Chairman of RB. RB plays a role in facilitating trade and business activities by providing cargo services for the transportation of goods. It enables businesses in Brunei to connect with global markets, import and export products and engage in international trade. RB also introduced its brand-new inflight meals for the Economy and Business classes starting 1st of June. To celebrate the anniversary of its flight operations, RB and Brunei Tourism as well as several tour operators launched the 'Discover Brunei' webpage on flyRB.com.
