Comets Overcome Divas in President's Cup

Comets beat Divas 12-10 in the ladies category of the President's Cup at Jerudong Polo & Riding Club on Saturday evening.

 


After tying 5-5 in the fifth inning, Divas and Comets went into the tie breaker but still couldn't be separated at 7-7.

 


In the eighth inning, Comets managed to lead 12-7.

 


Divas tried to catch up but could only manage to score three runs.

 

On Sunday morning, Wanderers staged a comeback win over Gunners. Trailing by four runs to nothing in the third inning.

 


Wanderers then pulled together and levelled the match at 5-5 in the fifth inning. Wanderers scored the winning run in the sixth inning to make it 6-5 and held on tight with bases loaded in the seventh inning to secure their win.

 


Meanwhile, Black Arrows lost to Zombies 10-14 in the afternoon match at Jerudong Sports Arena.

 


More action will take place this weekend with the adies category still playing the first round and the men playing in the semifinal.
