His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri arrived in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

Upon arrival in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were welcomed by His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Alkassabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade as the Minister-in-Attendance.

Whilst in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, His Majesty and Her Majesty performed umrah.

Umrah is an act of worship that is highly encouraged by Islam by visiting Baitullah in the holy city of Makkah and can be performed at any time of the year. It is also known as "minor pilgrimage" or also known as "lesser Hajj" that purifies pilgrims and to seek forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.
