KUDAT, SABAH
Seven fire-fighters escaped unhurt when their fire-engine plunged into a river after the wooden bridge it was crossing in Kampung Korina, near here, collapsed.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations), Khairul Azuan said the incident occurred at 2 pm when the fire-fighters were on their way to douse a forest fire in the Korina village area.
“This is among the risks faced by fire-fighters in their line of duty,” he said via WhatsApp here yesterday.
