After some big wins for Arsenal and Real Madrid, Shaka Hislop has been forced to reshuffle his Power Rankings once again.
1. Atletico Madrid (no change)
Two wins, achieved in different ways, keep Atletico on top. First, Diego Simeone's side swept to a 7-1 victory vs. Granada last weekend, with Yannick Carrasco scoring a hat trick. The Belgian netted again in the Champions League to beat Rostov 1-0.
2. Juventus (no change)
It was a week of contrasting fortunes for Gianluigi Buffon. First, the legendary goalkeeper made an error that lead to a Udinese goal -- Juve still won 2-1 -- before he rebounded with a magnificent display in the 1-0 midweek win at Lyon.
3. Arsenal (+3)
The 3-2 win vs. Swansea was probably a bit closer than it should have been, but there was no doubting Arsenal as they thumped Ludogorets 6-0 in the Champions League. Mesut Ozil helped himself to a hat trick, while Theo Walcott also continued his run of scoring form.
4. Real Madrid (+3)
The week's high scorers, Madrid notched 11 goals in easy wins against Real Betis and Legia Warsaw. Perhaps most encouraging for Zinedine Zidane will be the fact that, over the two games, 10 different players found the net.
Paul Mariner and Mark Donaldson talk whether Arsenal have the team chemistry this year to win the League.
5. Benfica (no change)
After a weekend win in the Portuguese Cup, Benfica made the trip to Dynamo Kiev and won 2-0 in the Champions League. That, combined with Napoli's loss to Besiktas, means the Portuguese side are now two points off top spot in Group B.
6. Barcelona (+4)
Has normal service been resumed at the Camp Nou? After a patchy run of form, Barcelona recorded back-to-back 4-0 wins against Deportivo and Man City, respectively. Lionel Messi is back from injury, although several defensive absentees are cause for concern.
7. Tottenham (-4)
They would have expected to win at West Brom, but having fallen behind with eight minutes left, a draw was a decent result for Spurs. Three days later, they could have won or lost at Leverkusen, which meant a draw was probably a fair result.
8. Nice (no change)
The French leaders have a four-point advantage atop Ligue 1 after an impressive 2-0 win against Lyon. Nice followed up their domestic exploits with a tidy 1-0 away win at Salzburg in the Europa League to make up some ground in Group I.
9. Sevilla (new)
The three-time Europa League winners might be unable to defend their trophy this season ... but only because they are playing so well in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Jorge Sampaoli's men also lie third in La Liga.
10. AS Roma (new)
After a mixed start to the Serie A season, Roma are now second after beating Inter and Napoli in back-to-back games. They did have a wobble on Thursday, though, letting a 3-1 lead vs. Austria Vienna evaporate in a late 3-3 draw, but the result still keeps them in charge of Europa League Group E.
